Michelle Stephens

Michelle Stephens serves as EdChoice’s controller, where she is responsible for all accounting functions within the organization, including annual financial reporting to EdChoice’s board of directors as well as external auditors, ensuring compliance to the requirements set forth by the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) for nonprofit agencies.

Prior to joining EdChoice, Michelle gained considerable nonprofit accounting experience working for the Indiana Association for Education of Young Children and as an auditor for BKD, LLP – CPAs and Advisors.

Michelle is a certified public accountant and graduated in 1994 from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and their three children.
