Position Summary and Purpose
As a member of the EdChoice Development team, the Major Gifts Officer will execute the aspects of the organization’s strategic development plan that pertain to major gift fundraising. The Major Gifts Officer will work to personally identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of new and existing EdChoice donors around the country. Duties include donor research, stewardship procedures, and data integrity.
The Major Gifts Officer will report to and work closely with the Vice President of Development and will work collaboratively with the Development team. The Major Gifts Officer will also work to integrate fundraising with the EdChoice mission, as well as coordinating joint meetings with the program teams when appropriate.
The position can be based in EdChoice’s Indianapolis, Indiana office, or remote. Candidates working from a virtual office will be expected to visit the Indianapolis office approximately once per quarter.

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation package includes competitive benefits with full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; long term disability; and SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with match. Salary range is $80,000-$110,000 annually.
