Brian is a proud Michigander who is a recent transplant to the Hoosier state and is loving his new home. He has lived and worked all over the country, including spending two years overseas doing humanitarian work. His proudest work moment was being named Managing Editor of a nationally published cigar magazine. While his background is in journalism and writing he has also worked on everything from social media to website design to videography and even spent some time working at Disney World.
He lives with his wife and young daughter in Indianapolis.
Oindrila Mukerjee at Grand Valley State University. She was my writing professor for many of my classes and her encouragement and constructive criticism made me a better writer and student than I ever thought possible.
I was homeschooled, so sadly, no mascot.
Reading, watching movies, running, going to festivals and events with his wife and young daughter, concerts, and traveling.
I was homeschooled, so I got to experience firsthand my parents being able to choose what was best for each of their children. Two of my siblings ended up going to a private school, while my sister and I stayed homeschooled for our entire K-12 education. It was what I needed, and I know without a doubt I would have been a totally different person had I not been homeschooled and instead attended a public school. Now, having a daughter of my own has intensified my passion that each family should be able to choose what is best for their child.
