Cooper Conway is a Research Assistant for the Fiscal Research and Education Center (FREC) at EdChoice. As a member of FREC, Cooper assists with research projects and fiscal-related work pertaining to education choice. Previously, Cooper was a Policy Advisor for 50CAN and a contributor at Young Voices. His writings have appeared in local, state, and national publications, including National Review, the Washington Examiner, and the Detroit News.

A native of Vancouver, Washington, Cooper earned an M.P.P. from Pepperdine University, where he specialized in economics and state and local policy (2024). He also earned a B.S. in political science from Boise State University (2022). Since finishing school, Cooper has returned to the Pacific Northwest, where he enjoys hiking the Columbia Gorge.

Inspiration for Joining the Educational Choice Movement

In 2019, I worked closely with students who could not access the best educational options because of where they lived. It opened my eyes to how blessed I was to attend a school that worked well for me and my family. Now, I want to make sure every child, including the ones I worked with, has that same opportunity.
