Private School Choice

Pennsylvania has two private school choice programs, two tax-credit scholarships. These programs help families send their children to participating private schools.

Public School Choice

Pennsylvania allows parents to transfer to traditional public schools outside their district via an open enrollment policy. Pennsylvania also has magnet schools.

Charter Schools

Pennsylvania has some charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded schools that are free of many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.
