Inter-District

For students transferring out of a low-performing school under the public education grant program, sending districts will provide transportation costs to and from the students’ assigned schools.

Charter School

An open-enrollment charter school must provide transportation to each student attending the school to the same extent a school district is required by law to provide transportation to its students.

Private School

Texas does not provide support nor does it require districts to pay for the transportation of private school students, but private school students can get half price public transportation fare when school is in session.
